On the National Local Government Day, Chapainawabganj Deputy Commissioner AKM Galiv Khan said that Hon’ble Prime Minister has given houses to 750,000 families. He gave about five thousand houses in Chapainawabganj district. He said that in order to build a smart Bangladesh in 2041, we have to work for the marginalized people.
He said these things in the speech given by the chief guest at the local government day discussion meeting organized by Chapainawabganj district administration on Tuesday (February 27) morning.
On the occasion of local government day celebration, a rally started in front of Chapainawabganj (DC) office and ended at Shaheed Satu Complex Auditorium at the end of the circuit of the important roads of the district city, keeping in mind the motto “Smart will be the local government, will ensure the right to service”. And discussions were held there.
Devendra Nath Uran, Deputy Director of Chapainawabganj Local Government and Deputy Secretary of the Government presided over the meeting. Sadar Upazila Executive Officer Tashmina Khatun delivered the welcome speech. Additional Superintendent of Police Abul Kalam Shahid, who was promoted to the post of Superintendent of Police, Chairman of Zilla Parishad Alhaj Ruhul Amin and Chief Executive Officer Afaz Uddin, Engineer of LGED Executive Engineer’s Office Mozahar Ali Prang, Executive Engineer of Directorate of Public Health Engineering Amit Kumar Sarkar spoke as special guests. Heroic freedom fighter Ad Abdus Samad, Municipal Mayor Mokhlesur Rahman and others. Representatives of various departments, public representatives, print and electronic media journalists were also present.
