The members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-8 have arrested the main accused Gautam Mazumder in the case filed in the case of rape of a student in his educational institution. Arrested Gautam Majumder is the son of deceased Gaurang Majumder of Jhalkathi Sadar and assistant teacher of Gwaton Hemayet Uddin Science School.
The headquarters of RAB-8 confirmed the matter through a press release on Thursday (May 9) afternoon. According to RAB 8, the arrested Gautam Majumder blackmailed a 16-year-old student by blackmailing a 16-year-old student to his rented house.
Last May 3 around 7 am, he locked the door of the empty house and raped the student several times.
At one point, as she was late to return home, the relatives including the father went in search of the student. Later, around 11 pm, he was rescued from the rented house of teacher Gautam.
On the other hand, the accused took the video of the rape and some offensive pictures and saved them on his personal mobile phone and laptop.
On the other hand, if the rape victim and her family wanted to take legal recourse, the accused teacher threatened to kill her by spreading the recorded video and pictures on the internet. After various obstacles and threats, the father of the victim girl filed a rape case under section 9(1) of the Prevention of Women and Children Torture Act-2000 (Amendment 2003) at the Sadar Police Station of Jhalkathi district.
RAB 8, CPSC, Camp Shadow Investigation and intelligence surveillance started when there was a lot of excitement and public anger in that area. Through which the main accused in the student rape case, Hemayet Uddin, assistant teacher of Science Education, Gautam Majumdar was arrested by conducting raids in Lakhkathi area under Sadar police station of Pirojpur district. After his arrest, he was handed over to the police at Sadar police station in Jhalkathi district, said RAB 8 Senior ASP Faizul Islam.
