Alhaj Md Maksud Hossain (Pineapple) has been elected as chairman in the Bandar Upazila Parishad elections of Narayanganj. He got 29 thousand 874 votes. His nearest rival Virmuktijoddha Alhaj M, A Rashid (Doat Kalam) got 14 thousand 838 votes.
Ataur Rahman Mukul got 12 thousand 662 votes in the shrimp symbol. In addition, Alamgir Hossain (Mike) got 17 thousand 606 votes for the position of male vice chairman and was elected privately. His rival candidate Sanaullah Sanu (Airplane) got 17 thousand 1 votes.
Apart from this, Chalima Hossain Shanta (Football) has been elected privately with 29 thousand 456 votes for the post of female vice chairman. His rival Ed: Mahmuda Akhtar (Kalas) got 26 thousand 284 votes. Narayanganj District Election Officer and Returning Officer Kazi Md. Istafizul Haque Akand announced the result privately at the Bandar Upazila Auditorium on Wednesday night.
