1 person was arrested while fishing with poison and 2 people were arrested while fishing with illegal current nets by conducting an operation in Arial-Kha river of Muladir Upazila.
On Thursday, Muladi Upazila Senior Fisheries Officer (Acting) Md. Alam led an operation in Arialkha river. He was accompanied by ICSI Md Habibur Rahman of Nazirpur Naval Police Force, Muladi Mats Office Assistant Jahangir Hossain and members of Naval Police Force.
When the arrested 3 unscrupulous fishermen were brought to the office of Muladi Upazila Executive Officer Md. Nizam Uddin, he conducted a mobile court and fined the two fishermen with current nets a total of 4,000 taka and 8 taka each and the other fisherman for fishing with poison 4,500 taka for a total of 12,500 taka and Muladi In Paitikhola Kheyaghat of the municipality, shrimp caught with illegal nets and poison were burnt in public.
