Any activity in our daily life like: calling a loved one, doing a bank transaction or booking a medical appointment goes through a digital process. Yet 37 percent of women worldwide do not use the Internet. 259 million women have less access to the internet than men. If women do not use the Internet or do not feel safe online, they will not be able to develop the digital skills necessary to engage in the digital world, which will reduce their opportunities to pursue science, technology, engineering and math related careers. It is estimated that by 2050, 75 percent of jobs will be related to these sectors. As a result, the development and establishment of gender equality will become very difficult due to the low presence of women in the field of technology.
