Comilla’s Muradnagar Upazila accorded a warm welcome to two newly-elected Members of Parliament.
Ramchandrapur Professor Abdul Majid College family gave a warm welcome to Ramchandrapur Professor Abdul Majid College campus of upazila on Monday (March 4) morning.
Ramchandrapur Professor Abdul Majeed College Principal Md. Ferdous Ahmad Chowdhury presided over by Jahangir Alam Sarkar, Member of Parliament for Comilla-3 (Muradnagar) Constituency and Member of Parliamentary Committee on Road Transport and Bridge Ministry and Member of Parliament for Comilla-2 (Homna-Meghna) Constituency and Parliamentary Committee on Ministry of Education. A warm welcome was given to Principal Abdul Majeed, member of the Standing Committee and the Petition Committee.
Under the direction of lecturer Motahar Hossain, Homna Upazila Parishad Chairman Rehena Majid, Comilla North District A-League former education and cultural affairs secretary Masukul Islam Masuk, Jatrapur Union Parishad Chairman Abul Kalam Azad, lecturer Abdul Wadud and others were present as special guests.
Member of Parliament Jahangir Alam Sarkar told the students that it is not enough to be a good student, but to develop as a person with good and humane qualities. The practice is really commendable in the manner in which it conducts the teaching of the students.
Md. Abdul Majid, Member of Parliament, said that many students used to suffer due to lack of books. After the Prime Minister came to power, free books were distributed to all the students. In this, the number of students falling into the storm has reduced to a large extent. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has given stipends to poor meritorious students. An educated nation is needed to develop a country. The Prime Minister is working to ensure education for all.
