Organized by Dinajpur Civil Surgeon Office, a workshop on HIV AIDS awareness and HIV detection and medical care activities was held in implementation of AIDS/STD program ASP Mohakhali, Dhaka.

Last Monday (April 29, 2024) at 10 am in the conference room of Dr. Shaheed Abdul Jabbar Auditorium in Dinajpur 250-bed hospital, government officials of various departments, NGO representatives at the district level, religious leaders, field level officials of the health department, civil surgeon office and medical officers of the 250-bed sadar hospital. With the participation of officers and staff nurses, Dinajpur Civil Surgeon Office Civil Surgeon Dr. AHM Borhan-ul-Islam Siddiqui presided over AIDS/STD Program ASP Directorate of Health Mohakhali Dhaka Chief Guest Deputy Manager Dr. Faiza Mukar Rana said in his speech that since 1989 A total of 57 patients are HIV positive in Dinajpur district till 2023. Religious discipline and awareness should be increased among themselves. Therefore, all sectors have an important role to play socially. New patients should be counseled and given medical care to prevent HIV from spreading elsewhere.

Dinajpur Civil Surgeon Dr. AHM Borhan-ul-Islam Siddiqui said in the speech of the president of the program, the risk of HIV death is high. Every family of ours should be aware of this. We need to educate our own families to build a healthy nation in the future. Sonar will be helpful in transforming Bangla in 2041 and achieving sustainable development goals in 2030. If I am good and if my family is good, if the society is good and if everyone around is good then we can reach our desired Sonar Bangla dream.

Dr. Md. Fazlur Rahman, supervisor of 250-bed Sadar Hospital, Dinajpur 250-bed Sadar Hospital Dr. Wahedul Haque, RMO Dr. Md. Parvez Sohail Rana, Civil Surgeon Office, Dr. Md. Fazlur Rahman, Senior Medicine Consultant at Dinajpur 250-bed Sadar Hospital gave welcome speech as guest of honor under the direction of Dr. Abdullah Al Mahmud of Dinajpur Civil Surgeon Office. Deputy Civil Surgeon Dr Shah Muhammad Sharif, District Administration NDC Mamun Sarkar, Civil Surgeon Office Medical Officer Dr Kawsar Ahmed and Senior Health Education Officer Md Saiful Islam etc.

Religious leader Imam Md. Tamizuddin Ahmed, Manager of Tuberculosis Suburban Office of Dinajpur Brack Md. Alal Uddin, HIV Counselor of Dinajpur Sadar Hospital Md. Arafat and others spoke in the open discussion. The speakers said, those who are affected by HIV should not be pushed away, they should extend their hand of cooperation. Homosexuals, male sex workers, female sex workers and Hijra sex workers are also part of this society. To prevent this, morals of religious discipline should be awakened socially. Md Alal Uddin Chowdhury, IT expert of Dhaka Mahakhali Health Directorate presented the information through video conference.
