On the occasion of the 104th birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children’s Day, the President paid tribute at his tomb in Tungipara, Gopalganj. Sahabuddin and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

The head of state and the head of government laid wreaths at Bangabandhu’s tomb in Tungipara at around 11:15 on Sunday (March 17). After paying their respects, they stood in silence for a while. A sharp contingent of the armed forces gave the armed salute at this time.

Earlier, the President and Prime Minister reached Tungipara by helicopter from Dhaka. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina welcomed the President. Later, the President first paid his respects at the tomb of the Father of the Nation. Sahabuddin. After paying her respects, Sheikh Hasina as Prime Minister paid her respects by placing floral wreaths at Bangabandhu’s tomb.

It is known that President Mohammad Sahabuddin will return to Dhaka after paying his respects. However, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is scheduled to attend several events in Gopalganj. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is scheduled to address the Children’s Day discussion meeting organized by the Ministry of Women and Child Affairs at Gate No. 1 of Samadhi Soudh Complex as the chief guest.
