Supporters of independent mayoral candidate Nizam Uddin Qaiser were allegedly shot near the Munsi M Ali High School center in Comilla. Horse symbol candidate Nizam Uddin Kaiser made this complaint at around 10:30 am on Saturday (March 9).

He said, common people are trying to come to the center to vote. But by bringing terrorists identified as outsiders, the voters in the neighborhood are being prevented from coming to the center. In Ward No. 3 my agent was attacked under the leadership of Councilor Javed. Ward 22 councilors Azad and Yuvaligneta Apu led by transport workers are obstructing the voters. Zahirul Ahmed, a supporter of the horse symbol, was shot dead near the Munsi M Ali High School center in Ward No. 19. He was sent to Comilla Medical College Hospital.

Addressing the voters, Kaiser said, I would still say that the voters have nothing to panic about. As far as the polling environment is concerned, I can say you can come to the center. There is adequate security. Moreover, I have informed the commission about these matters.

EVM voting is going on in 640 polling booths in 105 centers of the city corporation. Voting started at 8 am on Saturday and will end at 4 pm. Total voters in the city are two lakh 42 thousand 562 people. There are 1 lakh 24 thousand 278 female voters, 1 lakh 18 thousand 282 male voters and two third gender voters.

Regarding the firing at Munsi M Ali High School Centre, Presiding Officer Hasan Ahmed Kamrul told Jago News that the incident took place outside the polling station. I immediately informed the matter to the Magistrate.
