A complaint of rape of a 3-year-old child in Jhalkathi has been made against uncle Sajjad (17) of a bad relationship. In this incident, the police arrested him at night.
The incident took place on Sunday (March 31) at around 8 pm in East Chandkathi Brack Mor area. Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar Circle) confirmed the matter on Monday (April 1) morning. Mohitul Islam Accused Sajjad is the son of Shahadat Hossain of Kritipasha area of Sadar Upazila.
The victim’s mother said, “I and my daughter Brakmore stay at my father’s house due to problems with my husband.” Sajjad came to visit my majo brother’s shala and our house. I was praying and my mother was sleeping. On this occasion, he found the girl alone and raped her. Later my sister found out and ran away leaving the mobile phone. Later, when my daughter fell ill, she was admitted to Jhalakathi Sadar Hospital.
Resident Medical Officer (RMO) of Jhalkathi Sadar Hospital Dr. TM Mehdi Hasan Sani said that a three-year-old child was brought to the hospital on Sunday night. Her family claims she was raped. The victim is currently hospitalized. We will complete the remaining activities after due process.
Additional Superintendent of Police. Mohitul Islam said that the accused was arrested in the night on the charge of raping a three-year-old child.
