Comilla-Barura Member of Parliament Abu Zafar Mohammad Shafiuddin Shamim said that every teacher should take care of students like their own children. Then, no student will turn to drugs, no student will join juvenile gangs. Only then will a beautiful society be formed.
He said this in the speech of the chief guest in the discussion meeting with the primary teachers of Barura Upazila to ensure quality primary education organized by the Barura Primary Education Family on Saturday (March 2) at 12 noon in the grounds of Barura Haji Nawab Ali Pilot High School.
Abu Jafar Mohammad Shafiuddin Shamim said, teachers do not belong to any party, they are the artisans of making people. So that teachers do not get involved in any dispute among themselves. And along with the students, the teachers must come to the class regularly.
Barura Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Nu-Emong Marma Mong presided over the exchange meeting as special guests were Chairman of Barura Upazila Parishad ANM Mainul Islam, former Mayor of Barura Municipality Bahaduruzzaman (Bahadur).
Amratali Government Primary School head teacher Md Soleman Hossain was also present in the meeting as guests, Barura Upazila Parishad Vice Chairman (Female) Kamrun Nahar Shikha, Assistant District Education Officer Kazi Mofiz Uddin, Upazila Education Officer Md Tariqul Islam, URC Officer Md Ruhul Amin, teacher Ghaziul Haque is the central leader of the association.
Md. Shahadat Hossain Bhuiya, Chittagong Divisional Joint General Secretary of Bangladesh Primary Teachers Association, Md. Shahadat Hossain Bhuiya, Assistant Education Officer of Barura Upazila Md. Soleman Hossain Bhuiya, Md. Mizanur Rahman, Headmaster of Shilmuri Government Primary School, Headmaster of Dewatali Government Primary School also spoke in the meeting. Abdul Haque, Maheshpur Government Primary School Principal Md Shah Alam, Kariagram Government Primary School Principal Jharna Majumdar, Muguji Government Primary School Principal Syeda Akhter, East Nalua Government Primary School Principal Selina Akhtar read the certificates of Smriti Rani Vanik, teacher leader Khorshed. Alam, assistant teacher Md. Alauddin recited Quran in the ceremony.
Other speakers in the discussion said that the Hon’ble Prime Minister has made a very important contribution in the field of primary education. Quality education is necessary to build a smart Bangladesh. And to impart quality education to the students, first the teachers have to be trained. The government is working with the determination to build a smart Bangladesh, we will also prepare our students to build the Bangladesh of the future. We will not produce students who are involved in drugs or juvenile gangs. Teachers are the craftsmen of making people, and teachers must make good people. At the end of the exchange meeting, the newly elected members of parliament and the incoming guests were given mementos.
Head teachers and assistant teachers of 154 primary schools of Barura Upazila were present.
