Keeping this slogan in mind, the Great May Day is celebrated in Munshiganj district.
A colorful rally and discussion meeting organized by Munshiganj District Commissioner was held today on the occasion of 1st May 2024 International Workers’ Day. At 9.30 am, a huge rally organized by the district administration and Jatiya Sramik League started from the district administrator’s office and circled around “Pataka 71” square and ended at the district administrator’s office. At the end of the rally, a discussion meeting was held at the Deputy Commissioner’s office on the theme of the Great May Day, “Shramik Malik Garb Desh, Smart Hobe Bangladesh”. The meeting was presided over by Munshiganj District Deputy Commissioner Md. Abu Jafar Ripon, Munshiganj District Superintendent of Police Aslam Khan, officials of various departments working in the district, Munshiganj District Jatiya Sramik League President Md. Akkas Ali, General Secretary Md. Anowar Hossain Khan, organizers spoke in the discussion. Editor Md. Shafique Dhali, labor leader Suman Mia and other leaders of different organizations of labor league and civil society were present.
