Shah Al-Amin Amanat: The government’s crores of taka are ineffective in the unplanned development of the Roads and Highways Department. From Debidwar New Market to Phulagachtala on the Comilla-Sylhet regional highway, there are small and large potholes. Whenever it rains, the suffering of people and vehicles increases several times. Today, Thursday (July 31) afternoon, repair work was seen going on in the Phulagachtala area of the municipality by laying bricks on the road above the water. But after a few days, the residents of Debidwar are not able to enjoy any long-term benefits of this renovation. Locals say that the poor condition of the road due to the potholes is due to the fact that the road is lower than the surrounding area and there is no arrangement to drain water along the road.
