With the aim of making the organizational activities more dynamic, the monthly meeting of Barura Thana Press Club was held at the Barura Upazila Parishad auditorium. The meeting, organized on Monday (July 27) afternoon, was presided over by Barura Thana Press Club President Mohammad Masud Majumder.
Press Club Advisor Abul Hossain Saju, Press Club General Secretary Sujan Majumder, Deputy General Secretary Nasir Uddin, Organizing Secretary Sourav Lodh, Finance Secretary Jahangir Mir, Office and Publicity Secretary Md. Rakib and other members of the Press Club were present at the meeting.
The overall activities of the Press Club, the professional responsibilities of journalists, the unity of the organization and the future work plan were discussed in detail in the meeting. In addition, the members expressed their opinions on various important issues to make the Press Club activities more dynamic and well-organized.
In the discussion, it was decided to organize the annual joy trip of the Barura Thana Press Club to Cox’s Bazar in August. In addition, a policy decision was taken to complete the membership induction and de-incorporation activities of the Press Club in October.
In addition, discussions were held on enhancing the professional skills of journalists, playing a more responsible role in presenting objective news, increasing mutual harmony and cooperation among members, and implementing various activities for the development of the organization.
The members present at the meeting expressed their determination to work collectively to make the Barura Thana Press Club a stronger and more effective organization.
At the end of the meeting, President Mohammad Masud Majumder thanked all the members present and urged them to work unitedly for the benefit of the organization.
