SAVAR, Dhaka : Md. Saiful Islam, who was recently recognized as the Best Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Dhaka District, has assumed office as the new Officer-in-Charge of Savar Model Police Station.
He was transferred from South Keraniganj Police Station to Savar Model Police Station following an administrative order issued by the Dhaka District Police. He formally took charge on Thursday night.
While serving at South Keraniganj Police Station, Saiful Alam made significant contributions to crime prevention, anti-drug operations and people-oriented policing. In recognition of his performance, he was selected as the Best OC of Dhaka District in the July performance assessment.
Under his leadership, five other police officers from the same police station also received recognition as the best performers in different categories.
After assuming office, Md. Saiful Islam said, “Earning the trust of the people is the greatest achievement for a police officer. I will work sincerely to improve the law and order situation, control crime and ensure people-friendly police services.”
Local residents expressed hope that under his leadership, Savar Model Police Station will play a more effective role in combating drug-related crimes, juvenile gangs, theft, mugging and other criminal activities in the area.
