Special Correspondent: He emphasized the practice of philosophy, Sufism and human values ​​in establishing world peace. The two-day long ‘Second International Philosophy Conference: Philosophy for World Peace’ was successfully concluded at Dhaka University. Bangladeshi and foreign eminent academicians, researchers, philosophers and diplomats participated in this international conference jointly organized by Bangladesh Philosophical Society (BPS) and Mohammadi Kafela Oikya Parishad. Minister of Information and Broadcasting Zahir Uddin Swapan MP was present as the chief guest at the inaugural session of the conference. State Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Shaikh Faridul Islam MP, Vice Chancellor of Dhaka University Professor Dr. A. B. M. Obaidul Islam, Vice Chancellor of Jahangirnagar University Professor Dr. Mohammad Kamrul Ahsan, Vice Chancellor of National University Professor Dr. A. S. M. Amanullah, Vice Chancellor of Bangladesh Open University Professor Dr. Mohammad Siddiqur Rahman Khan and Vice Chancellor of Jagannath University Professor Dr. Md. Rais Uddin. The welcome address was delivered by the Chairperson of the Department of Philosophy of Dhaka University Professor Dr. Md. Nuruzzaman Mohammadi Kafela Head Khadem A. R. M. Kamrul Islam. The topic of the first academic session of the conference was ‘Sufism and World Peace’.

The session was presided over by Professor Dr. Shah Kawsar Mustafa Abul Ulayi. In this session, research papers were presented by Professor Dr. Mumtaz Ahmed Sadidi Al-Azhari of Darul Madina International University, Pakistan, Professor Dr. A. B. M. Razaul Karim Fakir of Dhaka University, Professor Dr. Masud Akhtar of Rajshahi University, Engineer Nurul Alam of Dhaka University, Professor Dr. Humayun Abbas and Jahangirnagar University Professor Dr. Md. Sawkat Hossain. The chief guest at the closing session was Professor Dr. Mamun Ahmed, Chairman of the University Grants Commission (UGC) of Bangladesh.

The guests present were Professor Dr. Anisuzzaman, Vice Chancellor of Global University Bangladesh, Professor Dr. Szahan Mia, former President of Bangladesh Philosophical Society, Professor Dr. Md. Lutfar Rahman, former Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Jagannath University, Professor Dr. Nusrat Jahan Kajal, former Chairman of the Philosophy Department, Chittagong University, and Professor Dr. Santosh Kumar Pal, Professor of Burdwan University, India, Shahzada Sufi Mohammad Enayet Ullah Khan, Chief Guest of the Court of Chattogram Shah Amanat Khan, Pir Maulana Muhammad Zafar Sadeq of the Chittagong Court, Mufti Saleh Sufian Farhadabadi Maizbhandari, Advocate Mir Mohammad Ferdous Alam Selim, Mufti Maulana Abu Ahmed Azhari, freedom fighter Mohammad Rustam Ali, engineer Minar Uddin Babar, etc.

The closing session was presided over by the President of Bangladesh Philosophical Society, Professor Dr. Shah Kawsar Mostafa Abul Ulayi.
He said – The education of philosophy and Sufism is very important in establishing peace, tolerance, morality and human values ​​in the current world. The speakers called for the creation of a peaceful, just and humane world through research, knowledge and intercultural dialogue. The organizers informed that such international conferences will continue to be organized in the future to spread the message of philosophy, Sufism-based human values ​​and world peace at the international level. The program was concluded with Sufi Qawwali (Sema Mahfil), Milad Kayam and Doa Munajat.
