Rajbari in two people were sentenced to life imprisonment drug case

The court sentenced two people to life imprisonment in a drug case in Rajbari and sentenced them to six months of unpaid work without paying a fine of 10,000 taka.

Judge Jannatun Lilifa Akhter Jahan of Rajbari Additional Sessions Judge Court-1 gave this judgment on Sunday (19th May) afternoon under Section 19(1) Table 3(b) of the Narcotics Control Act of 1990.

The convicts are: Md Ashraful Islam Dulal (29), son of deceased Abzal Uddin Khoka Mia of Kushtia, Md Aalim (30), son of Md Siraj Khan of the same district.
Additional PP Md. Abu Bakar Mia, lawyer for the state, confirmed the matter.

According to the court and case sources, on December 5, 2011, during the search of a private car on the Dhaka-Khulna highway in front of Sridam Dutt’s Para Jame Mosque under Goalandghat police station, Goaland police arrested two persons with 84 bottles of Fensidil. In this incident, a complaint was filed in Goland police station under section 3(b) of table 19(1) of the Narcotics Control Act of 1990.
