Nayoka Martinez Backstrom, First Secretary for Environment and Climate Change at the Embassy of Sweden and Deputy Head of the Social Development Corporation, inaugurated the day-long workshop at a hotel in the capital on Saturday (May 18).

Presided over bsy Mukit Majumdar Babu, chairman of Prakriti and Jeevan Foundation, Chief Executive of Bangladesh Environmental Lawyers Association Syeda Rizwana Hasan, scientist of Potsdam Institute for Climate Change Research, Mohammad Mofizur Rahman, Chairman of River and Delta Research Center Mohammad Ejaz, Chairman of Bangladesh River Foundation spoke as the main speakers. Chairman and CEO Md. Monir Hossain, writer and life coach Mashahed Hasan Shimando, Mir Mohammad Ali, teacher of Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, journalist Md. Shafiq Dhali, president of the river canal and environment protection movement and leaders of various environmental organizations.
