The 104th birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the National Children’s Day have been celebrated in Pirojpur like the whole country. On the occasion of the father of the nation’s birthday, the Public Works Department has undertaken various forest, fruit and medicinal tree planting programs in Pirojpur. Including 104 coconuts and 104 of various types A total of 208 trees were planted in front of the public works building area and various structures built by the Pirojpur Public Works Department. Md Jahurul Islam, Executive Engineer of the Public Works Department, Pirojpur, was also present at the time by planting a coconut tree in front of the tree planting program office. Its Sub-Divisional Engineer (Civil) Md. Sultan Mahmud Shaikat, Sub-Divisional Engineer (E/M) Md. Raqib Hossain, Deputy Assistant Engineer Aniruddha Mondal, Md. Yusuf Ali, Md. Nuruzzaman Biswas, Deputy Assistant Engineer (E/M) Md. Raisul Islam, Deputy -Officers and employees working in Pirojpur including Assistant Engineer Papan Karmakar. Earlier at nine in the morning, Pirojpur CO Office paid tribute by placing wreaths at the portrait of Bangabandhu at Bangabandhu Chattar.
Bangabandhu’s 104th auspicious birthday was celebrated with prayers and cake cutting after Iftar.
