Awami League MPs elected to the 12th National Parliament have taken oath. The swearing-in ceremony began at 10 am on Wednesday (January 10). After the other activities, the members recited the oath.

Later they were asked to sign the affidavit. The next step is to ask the Registrar of Parliament to sign. After taking the oath, the new MPs signed the oath form in front of the Speaker.

According to the constitution, MPs are required to take oath within three days of publication of the gazette. Accordingly, the newly elected parliamentarians were sworn in by the Speaker of the 11th Parliament. Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury.

Before the oath of the MPs, the first round of the Speaker Dr. Shireen Sharmin Chowdhury took oath as an MP according to the constitution and rules of procedure and will sign the oath book.

The winning MPs will take oath as independents at 11 am. Jatiya Party’s newly elected members of parliament will take it around 12 noon.

Earlier appearing in the parliament building, Liberation War Affairs Minister A K M Mozammel Haque said that our goal is to build a smart, hunger and poverty free and Bangabandhu’s dream of Sonar Bangla.

Nilphamari-2 (Sadar) Constituency MP Asaduzzaman Noor said, We will work to implement the manifesto announced by Bangladesh Awami League. We will work to implement the Prime Minister’s promise, that is our goal.
