National Local Government Day and Statistics Day were celebrated in Trishal, Mymensingh keeping this theme in mind.
Tuesday (February 27) took various programs to mark the day. Upazila Parishads, Municipalities, Union Parishads all beautified through banners, festoons and lighting, and various haat-bazars, growth centers and special cleaning campaigns and rallies were held.
Later, a discussion meeting was held in the upazila parishad hall at 11 am.
Chairman of Upazila Parishad Alhaj Abdul Mateen Sarkar was the chief guest at this time under the chairmanship of Trishal Upazila Executive Officer Jewel Ahmed. Upazila Parishad Vice Chairman Humayun Kabir Akand, Mahmuda Khanam Ruma were special guests. Brave freedom fighters, government office officials, print and electronic media journalists were also present.
