On the occasion of the 6th Upazila Parishad General Election-2024, with the related officials and contesting candidates on Wednesday, May 8, around 12:00 in the afternoon organized by Galachipa Upazila Administration and Upazila Election Office, Upazila Meeting Hall, Upazila Executive Officer Mu. An exchange meeting was held under the chairmanship of Mohiuddin Al-Helal in the presence of Chief Guest Patuakhali District Commissioner and learned District Magistrate Mr. Noor Qutubul Alam.
Patuakhali District Superintendent of Police Mr. Md. Saidul Islam, BPM, PPM, Senior District Election Officer, Patuakhali and Returning Officer Khan Abi Shahanur Khan, 6th Upazle Parishad general election were present as special guests.
In the discussion meeting, the District Returning Officer gave a speech on the overall direction on the occasion of the 6th Upazila Parishad election.
Besides, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md Nasim Reza, Additional Superintendent of Police Galachipa-Dashmina (Circle) Morshed Toha, OC of Galachipa Police Station Md Ferdous Alam Khan spoke.
The Special Guest, Superintendent of Police, said that during the elections, everyone should obey the law, voters are the most powerful, census is the exercise of all powers, additional motorcycle showdowns or parades, including showing support, besides threats, intimidation, or any incitement during the elections. Law and order forces police are ready to take legal action if the main procession takes place. No one will be spared.
Chief guest Noor Qutubul Alam said that under the direction of Bangladesh Election Commission, no one will be exempted if they violate the 6th Upazila Parishad election conduct rules. The District Commissioner and Police Administration are always on alert to assist the District Returning Officer if any candidate uses political power or muscle power. District Commissioner Police Super Election Commission is fully prepared to maintain the 6th Upazila Parishad election in a free, fair and festive atmosphere.
At this time, Upazila A-League General Secretary Shardar Md Shah Alam, various candidates, most of the UP Chairman Brind, Bir Mukti Jodha Md Shanu Dhali, President of the Press Club Khalid Hossain Milton spoke on the matter.
In addition, journalist Md. Zillur Rahman spoke on various topics including jewels. Sushil Nagarig and various print and electrical news workers were present in the exchange meeting.
