Lalmonirhat Residents of formed a human chain to demand the trial of the accused in Ripon’s murder case

Residents of Lalmonirhat protested and formed a human chain to demand the punishment of the accused in Ripon’s murder case.
On Monday (February 12) at 3:30 pm, they staged an hour-long protest march and human chain on the side of the Rangpur-Burimari highway of Sadar Upazila Mahendranagar Union.
It is to be noted that in Fakirtari Namatari village of Sadar Upazila Harati Union, Mahir Uddin’s son Abdur Razzak (32) has taken possession of the land occupied by his neighbors Qayyum Ali (45), Chalam Miah (44), Kalam Miah (42), Tuhin Miah (22), of the same village. Tushar Mia (20), Ranju Mia (26) and Aminur Islam (28) were in dispute with Gong. In this incident, Abdur Razzak’s father as plaintiff and Mahir Uddin as plaintiff filed a case MR-261/23 (Lal) in Lalmonirhat learned court against 5 people.
In the said case, on 28/12/23, the accused took bail in Muchleka stating that they will not go to that land. Later the plaintiff planted roa on that land. But planted roa on 5/2/24 systematically uprooted. On 6/2/24 at 7 o’clock in the evening, Ripon (26), the younger brother of Abdur Razzak, came to know about the uprooting of Roa. At that time, the defendants hit Ripon on the head with the intention of killing him, and when he tried to stop the attack, the left thumb and little finger suffered bloody injuries.
Even 3 fingers of the left hand are about to fall off. Also, cutting the vein of the left leg, beating the head and shoulders in different parts of the body, causing sore and swollen wounds on the body. In this Ripon’s self-screaming, the local people came forward and rescued him in critical condition and admitted him to Lalmonirhat Sadar Hospital. whose admission Reg: No- 341/50, Date- 06/02/2024 Eng.
However, when Ripon’s physical condition gradually deteriorated, the doctor on duty at Lalmonirhat Sadar Hospital referred him to Rangpur Medical College Hospital.
Ripon is currently undergoing treatment at Rangpur Medical College Hospital.
In this situation, Ripon’s brother Abdur Razzak filed a case against Qayyum Ali, Chalam Miah, Kalam Miah, Tuhin Miah, Tushar Miah, Ranju Miah and Aminur Islam at Lalmonirhat Sadar Police Station as the plaintiff. whose case no-12, Tang 08/02/24.
Abdur Razzak, the plaintiff in the case, said, I have filed a case against 7 people. After they got bail from the learned court, the accused are again intimidating and threatening to withdraw the case. Therefore, we have organized a human chain along with a protest march by the local residents to demand the punishment of the accused in the attempted murder case.
