At Aditmari in Lalmonirhat, the stubborn sons and daughters beat up their parents and sent them to the hospital for not registering the land and city houses in the name of their sons and daughters. And the victim in this incident, the father, retired bank officer Sahidur Rahman, filed a written complaint against 10 people including son, daughter, son, daughter-in-law, son-in-law and their tenants at Aditmari police station.
According to the complaint, Sahidur Rahman (70), son of deceased Mahir Uddin of Madanpur area of ​​Aditmari upazila, married a widow woman named Hafiza Khatun (57) about 1 month ago after the death of his first wife. After marriage, he stayed with his younger brother Wazed Ali at his house. But because the father got married for the second time, he threatened several times to write the property in his name and the houses in Balatari in the municipal area of ​​Sadar Upazila in the names of his sons and daughters.
In continuation of this (last March 5) at 6 o’clock in the evening, the son, daughter, daughter-in-law, son-in-law and their tenants started abusing Sahidur Rahman and his second wife Hafiza Khatun in unspeakable language while staying at his younger brother Wazed Ali’s house. At that time, when Sahidur Rahman forbade them from abusing them, he stabbed his wife and caused a swollen wound on her body. He even pulled Sahidur Rahman’s wife’s clothes and molested her. When Sahidur Rahman tried to save his wife, he stung her too and caused a swollen wound on her body. At that time, Sahidur Rahman took 5 thousand taka in his pants pocket, his wife’s gold earrings and neck chain. Later, he threatened to kill Sahidur Rahman and snatched the necessary land documents with his signature on 3 blank stumps worth one hundred rupees. They left the scene threatening to kill the victim and his wife if the victim and his wife fell ill.
Later, when the physical condition of the victim Sahidur Rahman and his wife deteriorated, the local residents rescued the injured husband and wife and admitted them to Aditmari Upazila Health Complex. whose reg no-2019/8 and 2018/7. After admission, the doctor on duty referred the victim Sahidur Rahman to Lalmonirhat Sadar Hospital for better treatment. Currently, the victim father Sahidur Rahman is under treatment in the 10th bed of Medicine Ward of Lalmonirhat Sadar Hospital. whose reg no-1370/153.
In this incident, the victim father, retired bank officer Sahidur Rahman, as plaintiff, Babu Al Rashid’s wife Daultun Nahar Rumi (39), resident of Balatari area of ​​Sadar Upazila, Mahmud Hasan Mim (28) and his wife Jannatul Ferdousi Jisa (25), Sekendar of Bisik area of ​​Adimari Upazila. Ali’s wife Maryam Begum (55) and Mohammad Ali Jinnah’s son Sekander Ali (57). Ajmira Rahman Sathi (32), wife of Mostafizar Rahman of Dakshin Gaddimari area of ​​Hatibandha upazila of the district, Ayana Khatun (27), daughter of Badiar Rahman of Madanpur area of ​​Aditmari upazila and Liakat Ali (40), son of deceased Mahir Uddin, Babu Al Rashid son of deceased Akhlaq Hossain of Balatari area of ​​Sadar upazila. (45) and Raihan Uddin (25), son of Shahidar Rahman alias Velen of Madanpur area of ​​Aditmari Upazila filed a written complaint against a total of 10 people at Aditmari Police Station.
Sahidur Rahman, a retired bank officer with tears in his eyes, said, “My son, daughter, son-in-law, son-in-law and their tenants have been asking for land and houses in the city for a long time.” As I did not agree, they all beat me and my wife and sent me to the hospital. At that time they snatched the necessary documents of the land along with money, gold pendants and chains with signatures on 3 blank stamps threatening to kill. I have filed a police complaint. I want justice through law.
In this regard, Aditmari Police Station Officer-in-charge (OC) Mahmud-un-Nabi said, I have received a written complaint from the victim’s father. Necessary action will be taken after investigation.
