Japa youth leader accused of rape and pornography in Dumki

A woman victim has filed a case against Dumki Upazila Youth Solidarity General Secretary Md Aliullah Hawladar (35) and two others in the Patuakhali Women and Child Abuse Prevention Tribunal for allegedly forcibly raping her and recording her video. On February 6, Wednesday afternoon, the court took note of the case and registered it as a petition case and instructed the officer in charge to receive and investigate the case regularly at Patuakhali Sadar Police Station and submit a report within a specified time.

According to the details of the case, the victim is a mother of three children. Her husband died 15 years ago, after her husband’s death she took care of the children and married the elder son and daughter, the younger son studied in Dhaka. She lives alone in her husband’s house. As accused No. 1’s house was next to his house, Aliullah used to visit her (aunt) house often and used to make bad suggestions at various times. 6 months ago accused no.1 went to the house of the victim and found her alone and forcibly raped her against her will and videotaped the same.

Accused No. 1 then threatened the victim to leak the secret video if she did not have physical intercourse with him. Last March 3, on Sunday, accused No. 2 and accused No. 3 took the victim to Mehdi Villa in Shanti Bagh area of Patuakhali Municipality through the name of accused: Mo Mamun Howladar (40) and Mo Bellal Howladar. Accused No. 1 later forcibly raped her again by threatening to kill her without marrying her and to release the previously recorded pornographic video. At that time, when I struggled to escape from the hands of the accused, the accused No. 1 punched me on the forehead and hit me on the nose and mouth with his hand. In this, the victim’s cheeks on both sides are torn. After this incident, the accused detained the victim for a day.

Later, after receiving treatment at Patuakhali Medical College Hospital, the victim filed a case in the Patuakhali Women and Child Torture Suppression Tribunal as the police did not file a case. Denying the allegations directly, he said that the case was made out of hostility and conspiracy. However, he expressed his desire to speak in the interview without answering the questions that there are multiple audio records of his conversation with the victim and the information about staying overnight in various hotels and residences including Dhaka, Patuakhali and Kuakata.

Officer-in-charge of Patuakhali Sadar Police Station Mo Jasim Uddin confirmed the authenticity of the case and said that due to the busyness of the municipal elections, even if there is some delay, legal action will be taken against the accused after investigation.
