ISU publishes three peer-reviewed journals of international standard

Mohammad Masud Majumdar : The International Standard University (ISU) has published the texts of three peer-reviewed academic journals of international standard. These journals, published under the initiative of the Center for Research, Development and Publications (CRDP), were officially inaugurated at the university’s Media Lab on Thursday. ISU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Abdul Awal Khan was present as the chief guest.

The journals inaugurated include ISU Journal of English Studies (JES), ISU Journal of Engineering and Technology (JET) and ISU Journal of Business and Development Studies (JBDS). Being included in an internationally recognized research platform, research articles published in these journals will reach researchers, academicians and students worldwide more easily and will gain greater acceptance in the international research community.

Speaking as the chief guest at the event, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Abdul Awal Khan said, there is no alternative to research and international academic publications to build a world-class university. ISU is working to create a research-friendly environment. These international journals will make the university’s research more visible and acceptable in the global arena. ISU will continue to work tirelessly for research excellence in the future.

Director of the Center for Research, Development and Publications (CRDP) and Associate Professor of the Department of Business Administration Md. Mahbubur Rahman said, the real strength of a university is reflected in its research and publication value. ISU is building a strong platform for international research publication with that aim. These journals are not only a means of publishing research, but will also strengthen ISU’s connection with global knowledge. Our goal is to establish ISU as a research-based world-class university through more international collaboration and high-quality research publications in the future.

Also present at the event were the university’s Treasurer Professor Dr. H.T.M. Quader Newaz, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology Professor Md. Abul Kashem, Director of IQAC Professor Dr. Md. Ekramul Haque, Registrar Md. Faizullah Kaushik, chairmen of various departments, teachers, officials and researchers.

The program called for more active participation of teachers and students in research. In addition, the commitment to publish international quality research, increase involvement in global research networks and establish ISU as a world-class center for knowledge practice was reiterated.
