Md. Habibur Rahman BPAA Senior Secretary, Power Department (Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources) inaugurated the 33/11 KV power MVA sub-station at Khajanagar in Kushtia on Saturday, 23rd December 2023, for uninterrupted power supply to one of the largest rice fields in the country. During the inauguration of this sub-centre, the mill owners of Khajanagar presented their problems to the chief guest. The chief guest listened attentively to the problems of the mill owners and assured the mill owners that he would sit down with them again to resolve their problems. Md. Habibur Rahman, Senior Secretary, Electricity, Energy and Mineral Resources, said that there will be no load shedding due to the establishment of MVA sub-centres. Also, Chairman of Ozopadico Ltd., Md. Mahbubur Rahman said that all the officers under me are sincere and very efficient. They are customer friendly at all times. The present Superintending Engineer Jahan-e Shabnam since joining as Superintendent has been working hard to maintain the substation on the ground round the clock. The mill owners of Khajanagar said that supervising engineer Jahan-i Shabnam has worked hard to implement the MVA sub-centre. They also said, under this supervision, the engineer played an immense role in solving our new lines and electricity problems quickly. However, it is true that the Executive Engineer of Kushtia Ozopadicoli, Md. Fazle Rabbi Kaburhat MVA sub-centre has visited the site many times to monitor the progress of the work. All the officers of Ojopadikoli have tried to complete the work on time. And this sub-centre has implemented the expansion and upgradation project of electricity distribution system in the West Zone area. And Ideal Electrical Enterprise Limited has worked as a development subsidiary company. The facilities that the mill owners of Khajanagar will get with the construction of this sub-centre are automation with modern technology. Also there is an opportunity to supply electricity from separate grids (Kushtia and Chuadanga) through two source lines. As a result grid to grid and district to district alternative electricity supply is available. There are 11kV link feeders thus providing uninterrupted and reliable power supply. Md. Board of Directors Chairman SM Enamul Kabir, Ozopadico Ltd. Development Board Chairman Md. Mahbubur were present as chief guests on the occasion. Rahman, Ojopadikoli: Managing Director Prof. A.H.M. Mohiuddin, Supervising Engineer Md. Arifur Rahman, Successful Supervising Engineer Jahan E. Shabnam. Executive Officer of Kushtia Sadar Upazila Partha Pratim Sheel, various mill owners of Khaja Nagar and journalists of electronic and print media were present.
