Husband Rakib (21) was killed in Patuakhali city after six months of marriage in the case of his wife.
On March 1, 2024, at around 8 pm on Friday night, the police recovered Rakib’s body from a rented house on Kalatala third lane in Ward No. 8 of the municipality. Wife Meem (19) who killed her husband went to the police station and surrendered.
According to the facts, Rakib and Meem are drug dealers, drug addicts, and husband and wife are constantly having marital discord. Rakib’s mother got angry and went to his father’s house. Meem is the daughter of Md. Jewell of Durgapur village, Itbaria Union, Sadar Upazila. Rakib married Mim for love.
Deceased Rakib Bhola is the son of Md Nazrul Islam of Fulbagicha village of Lalmohan upazila. Nazrul Islam has been a medicine hawker for a long time in front of Barlibrary with a rented house in Patuakhali.
According to the police, Meem surrendered at the police station and confessed to the murder, but there could be some other reason behind it. Mim has been sent to court. The autopsy has been sent to the morgue.
