Fake journalist arrested in Rajbari

A fake journalist named Md. Nazmul Hasan Mintu (24) was arrested by Rajbari Sadar Police Station in Rajbari. The arrested Nazmul Hasan is the son of Muhammad Ali Bhuiya of Rasulpur village of Nawabpur union of Baliakandi upazila of Mintu district.
Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar Circle) Iftekharuzzaman confirmed the matter through a press briefing at Rajbari Sadar Police Station on the morning of 14th March (Thursday).
He said that the arrested Nazmul Hasan Mintu Rajbari used to use the fake identity card of Samad TV as representative of Ashikur Rahman, and used to mediate the trial in exchange of money, even if someone complained to the police station, he would promise to solve it by taking money from him. If money was not paid, he threatened to publish false news on TV against various organizations. For a long time, he had been cheating in various places by making visiting cards in the name of TV’s Rajbari representative Ashikur Rahman. Members of the Rajbari Press Club also introduced themselves. After searching the press club, it was found that he is not a member of the press club.
In this incident, a case under 419/385 Penal Code was registered at Rajbari Sadar Police Station on 13th March. He also said that the arrested accused will be sent to the court. ‘

Rajbari Sadar Police Officer-in-Charge Iftekhar Alam Pradhan and local print and electronic media journalists were present in the press conference.
