Child marriage stopped in Barura, Comilla with the help of the administration.
On January 2 at 3.10 pm, it is known that a child marriage ceremony has been organized on the west bank of Dighi in Narayanpur village of Khoshbas North Union of Upazila.

Barura Upazila Executive Officer Nu-Emong Marma Mong conducted mobile court under the leadership of Upazila Assistant Commissioner Lands and Executive Magistrate Mo Moin Uddin.

At that time, Mrs. Jahanara Begum, husband Md Ramiz Mia, Sang-Narayanpur, Khosbas (s) Union Barura, Comilla were fined 25,000 taka and fined for organizing child marriage. Accused Jahanara Begum admitted her mistake and promised not to marry her daughter before she turned 18 and signed the pledge.

A smart team of Barura Thana police cooperated in the said mobile court. Local civil society leaders and others were present at the time.
