A young victim has filed a complaint against a person named Liton (32) son of Din Mohammad of Idgah Para, No. 4 of Kushtia Sadar Upazila, for embezzling Tk 250,000 by luring her into marriage. The young woman complained that she had a love affair with businessman Liton for about three years. At one stage Lytton promised to marry. Taking that opportunity, Liton always asked the young woman for money by pointing out various problems. At one point Lyton told him that if he didn’t pay, his business would be destroyed and he would write you 50% ownership of the business. Hearing this, the young woman gave Liton two hundred and fifty thousand rupees in stages. According to the girl, Lytton now says he will not marry her and has stopped all contact. In this regard, the victim filed a complaint at Kushtia Model Police Station, which mentions the details of the incident, as the accused was previously known to me, sometimes we developed a love relationship through conversations and stories. But the defendant says you don’t need to go abroad, I am making arrangements for you and having sex with me at various times with the lure of marriage. Even the defendant’s family is aware of our relationship and I used to visit his house sometimes. The defendant lied to me and introduced me as his wife’s cousin despite having a wife. According to the defendant, I gave a cosmetics shop with some money to go abroad. In this regard, the defendant also cooperated with me by giving some money. When I talked about marriage, the defendant pretended to do it today or tomorrow and kept me as his wife to different people and rented a house and he lived with me regularly. Last on 12/02/2024 when I pressed for marriage, they beat me with sticks in different parts of the body and caused swelling wounds and abused me in unspeakable language. Kemu Biswas took 7 days to marry me with the defendant, but so far no contact. Now the defendant is giving me death threats with various threats. When asked about the complaint from SI Tapan Kumar Ghosh of Kushtia Model Police Station, he told the reporters that the complaint was made with both parties. None of them obeyed us.
