Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Muhammad Ali Arafat said that mutual cooperation and experience exchange will be done between Bangladesh and India in the film and television sector.

The State Minister said this during a press briefing after a courtesy meeting with Indian High Commissioner Pranay Verma appointed to Bangladesh in his office room at the Secretariat on Thursday (April 18) at noon.

The Minister of State told reporters at this time that there was a discussion with the High Commissioner of India on the issues related to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting between Bangladesh and India in which there is an opportunity for mutual cooperation. Bangladesh will benefit through mutual cooperation in these fields. We will try to take as much as possible the experiences that India has in the field of film and television so that we can develop further in these fields.

He also said that we are going to start a contemporary international news analysis and news presentation for two hours on Bangladesh Television (BTV). International means the two hour programs that will be launched on BTV will have news from various South Asian countries and world news. In this regard, there was a discussion with the High Commissioner on the issue of creating an area of mutual cooperation with Indian news agencies, especially ANI (Asian News International). We will try to attract Indian audience with this program of BTV.

The Minister of State also said that creating an area of cooperation with the Film and Television Institute of India, organizing various experience exchange and training programs, the joint production of Mujib: a film that shaped a nation, the issues to be explored if there is an opportunity to make more such films jointly produced. discussed.

He further said that the experience, processes and methods of Indian institutions working on disinformation and disinformation will be exchanged between the two countries. If any training is required here, mutual cooperation has also been discussed.

The Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting also mentioned the issue of film exchange between the two countries in the light of audience demand.
