A H Liton Thakurgaon Correspondent : A preparatory gathering was organized to mark the 120th founding anniversary and the celebration of the forest reunion of Pirganj Pilot High School, a centenary traditional educational institution in Thakurgaon. Upazila BNP President and Thakurgaon-3 constituency National Parliament Member Zahidur Rahman spoke as the chief guest at the gathering to remember the long journey and glorious history of the educational institution that created a stir in this region, established in 1907. Keeping this theme in mind, the meeting organized by Pirganj Pilot High School at 11 am on Monday in the hall room of the school was presided over by Mozammel Haque, a former student of the school and retired headmaster of the school. Among others who spoke at the clean-up rally were Professor Yasin Ali, former MP of Thakurgaon-3 constituency, Upazila BNP President and former Upazila Parishad Chairman Ziaul Islam, Pirganj Government College Principal Professor Md. Badrul Huda, Upazila Secondary Education Officer Arifullah, Thana Officer-in-Charge (OC) Iqbal Hossain Pramanik, Jaborhat College Principal Taibur Rahman, freedom fighter Hafizul Islam, retired social service officer Rafiqul Islam, Municipal BNP General Editor Rezaul Karim Raja, Upazila Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami Babul Ahmed, Pirganj Pilot High School Acting Headmaster Shahjalal Saju, Pirganj Sonali Bank retired senior staff Ataur Rahman Manjur, Upazila Mohila Dal President and former UP member Kulsum Begum, UP Chairman Mostafa Alam, Pirganj Reporters Club Thakurgaon President – AH Liton. Several hundred people, including educationists, political party leaders, esteemed scholars, former and current students of various batches of the school, and other professionals, were present at the organized rally.
