RAB-9 has arrested a member of the fake note making gang. On February 26, a special operation was conducted against fake notes of Indian Rs 14 lakh 65 thousand 500 and Bangladeshi notes worth Rs 69 lakh 52 thousand 900, along with a total of Rs 84 lakh 18 thousand 400 worth of fake notes of Yugendra Mallik (41). One member was arrested. The arrested person is a resident of Rustampur area of ā€‹ā€‹Srimangal police station in Moulvibazar district. RAB had information that some long-established gangs have been illegally manufacturing and fraudulently marketing local and foreign fake currency notes for short term profit. The members of this gang are making fake money and making transactions by mixing fake money with real money and making simple people destitute. Following this, RAB-9, CPC-2, Srimangal Company came to know that an unscrupulous person of the counterfeiting gang was staying in Srimangal Thana area of ā€‹ā€‹Moulvibazar for the purpose of dealing in fake notes illegally. Following the news, a raiding team of RAB-9, CPC-2, Srimangal Company arrested him on February 26 in Rustampur area under Srimangal police station of the district. In the initial investigation, it was revealed that he had been making fake money and selling it to people as real money for a long time.
