A meeting and exchange of views between the central leaders of the Bangladesh Workers’ Welfare Federation and Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan’s Assistant Director for International Affairs Mr. Masud Ghaus Aijazi and his wife Dr. Seema Malik, in-charge of the Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Women’s Department, was held at the central office of the Bangladesh Workers’ Welfare Federation in Paltan, the capital.
The meeting, held at 11:30 am on Wednesday (May 13), was attended by the central leaders of the Bangladesh Workers’ Welfare Federation, including Advocate Atiqur Rahman, Central President and General Secretary Laskar Mohammad Taslim.
Central President Advocate Atiqur Rahman welcomed the guests and informed them about the current situation of the labor movement in Bangladesh. He said that through this visit, mutual communication between the leaders of the labor organizations of the two countries will increase and it will play an important role in protecting the interests of the workers.
He further expressed hope that in the future, the leaders of both countries will work together to protect the rights and interests of the workers in the international arena as well.
Also present at the time were the Central Senior Vice President of the Workers’ Welfare Federation, Professor Harun Ur Rashid Khan, Kabir Ahmed, Deputy General Secretary Akhtaruzzaman, President of Dhaka Metropolitan South Abdus Salam, Office Secretary Nurul Amin, Trade Union Secretary Sohel Rana Mithu, International Secretary Md. Hasibul Hasan Hasib, Publication and Library Secretary Jamil Mahmud, Publicity and Media Secretary Md. Hafizur Rahman and other central leaders.
