“M. Naser Rahman MP International Standard Rating Chess Tournament”-2026 has been inaugurated. Organized by Towhid Islam Chess Academy and funded by prominent social worker Sheikh Nur Alam, the 3-day (18, 19 and 20) event was held at the Moulvibazar Municipality Hall on May 18 morning. The event was presided over by Towhid Islam, the founding director of Towhid Islam Chess Academy, and moderated by chess player Shahed Ahmed. Moulvibazar District Sports Officer Md. Mazharul Majid was present as the inaugurator on behalf of the Moulvibazar Deputy Commissioner. Bangladesh Association of Chess Players President Mohammad Enayet Hossain, Bangladesh Police Senior ASP (retd) Md. Asaduzzaman, Moulvibazar District BNP Convening Committee member Bakshi Misbah Ur Rahman, District BNP Convening Committee member Md. Helu Mia, International Arbitrator Harun Ur Rashid, Hakim Joynal and others were present as special guests.
