HSC First Day Bengali Examination Held at Karnaphuli Government Degree College Center in Pleasant Atmosphere

The first day of the Bengali (Compulsory) First Paper Examination of the Higher Secondary (HSC) Examination 2026 was held at the Karnaphuli Government Degree College Center in Kaptai Upazila of Rangamati in a peaceful, fair, cheating-free and pleasant atmosphere. On the occasion of the first day of the examination, there was strict security arrangements, a disciplined environment and round-the-clock supervision of the administration throughout the center. According to center sources, 76 students (40 students, 36 female students) from Karnaphuli Government Degree College were scheduled to participate in the examination in the science department, 435 students (243 students, 192 female students) and 128 students (67 students, 61 female students) from the humanities department. The institution has a total of 639 examinees, of which 350 are male students and 289 are female students. 103 students (52 male, 51 female) from Bangladesh Navy School and College participated in the examination in the Humanities department, 28 students (12 male, 16 female) from the Science department and 40 students (20 male, 20 female) from the Business Education department. The total number of students from the institution was 171; out of which 84 were male and 87 were female. In addition, 27 students (10 male, 17 female) from Bilaichhari School and College participated in the examination in the Humanities department and 4 students in the Business Education department. There were no students from this institution in the Science department. The total number of students from the institution was 31. In total, a total of 841 students from three educational institutions were supposed to participate in the examination at Karnaphuli Government Degree College Center. Out of these, 448 were male and 393 were female. 16 students were absent from the first day of the Bengali First Paper examination. Out of these, 2 students were from the Science department, 8 students were from the Humanities department and 6 students were from the Business Education department. Among the absentees, one is from Bangladesh Navy School and College and the remaining 15 are students from Karnaphuli Government Degree College. Kaptai Upazila Executive Officer Md. Raihanul Islam said, “The first day of the HSC examination was conducted in a very fair, peaceful and cheating-free environment under round-the-clock monitoring through CCTV cameras. The upazila administration has been monitoring all the time so that the examinees can take the examination comfortably and without fear. We are hopeful that the upcoming examinations will also be conducted in a similarly fair and transparent environment.”

Mohammad Siraj Uddin said, “All preparations at the examination center were completed in advance. With the sincere cooperation of teachers, room inspectors and everyone concerned, the first day of the examination ended smoothly. The examinees participated in the examination in accordance with the rules and regulations and no untoward incident occurred anywhere. He further said that as per the instructions of the Ministry of Education, CCTV cameras have been installed in each examination room. Through this, it is possible to monitor the activities of the examination room, corridor and responsible teachers round the clock from the office of the officer-in-charge of the center. The first day of the examination was completed in a very fair, peaceful and disciplined environment. As the first day of the examination was completed smoothly, there is an atmosphere of relief and satisfaction among the examinees, guardians and everyone concerned.
