On the occasion of National Nutrition Week, with the theme “End the days of nutrition inequality, let’s build a self-reliant Bangladesh”, Leaders organized a rally and 20 local children were fed khichuri through Cooking Dome in Thekra Rahimpur village of Kushlia Union on April 24, 2026.
There is no alternative to eating nutritious meals to eliminate malnutrition in family children and for the good health of mothers and children.
Organized by Leaders, in collaboration with donor organization GAIN, a total of 24 unions of Kaliganj and Shyamnagar upazilas are working on various projects for agricultural development and nutrition.
Present at the Nutrition Week celebration were reserved women member of the Union Parishad and panel chairman Mosa Tahmina Parveen, members of the Union Multi-Stakeholder Platform, member of the Union Climate Justice Group Sourav Sarkar, project coordinator of the Leaders’ Call project Md. Fazlur Rahman, project officer Subrata Kumar Gain, field facilitators Moslema Parveen, Suman Dhali and Trisha Dutta, among others.
