Today, an important dialogue titled “C.O.M.P.A.S.S. Dialogue, Chapter 1: The Western Calibration” was held at Hotel Sheraton in Banani, the capital. The dialogue was organized by the Institute of Strategy and Tactics Research (ISTR).
Local and foreign experts, policymakers and representatives of various sectors participated in the dialogue, organized with the aim of strengthening economic, investment and strategic cooperation in the contemporary global context. Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Minister Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir was present on behalf of the government at the event.
The Local Government Minister said that under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, Bangladesh is continuously moving forward on the path of development. The government is determined to ensure peace, stability, security and sovereignty of the country.
The minister further mentioned that the government is working to create a sustainable and investment-friendly environment and all kinds of facilities are being ensured for domestic and foreign investors.
The minister said that Bangladesh is now a potential destination for global investment. Through infrastructure development, progress in the energy sector and policy reforms, we have created an environment of trust for investors. We warmly welcome foreign investors and the government is ready to provide them with all kinds of support they need.
The active presence of representatives of different countries, including foreign delegates, in the seminar is considered a reflection of the interest and trust of the international community in Bangladesh. The participants in the discussion exchanged views on addressing global economic challenges, increasing regional cooperation and creating new investment opportunities.
Advisor to the Prime Minister Mahdi Amin and State Minister for the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Anindya Islam Amit, along with senior officials at various levels, diplomats, researchers and dignitaries concerned were also present at the event.
