An animal resource service week and exhibition was held at Lalmonirhat with the theme “Bharbo Desh Garbo Sonar Bangladesh” based on animal resources. In order to increase the production of livestock and ensure the supply of animal meat for the public, the exhibition was held on Thursday (18 April) at 10:30 am organized by Lalmonirhat Sadar Upazila Animal Resources Department and Veterinary Hospital at the district collectorate ground.
Under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Ullah, Member of Parliament of Lalmonirhat-3 Constituency Adv. Matiar Rahman (MP). Superintendent of Police Mohammad Saiful Islam was present as special guest. Also present was the district animal resource officer. Jahangir Alam, Deputy Director of District Agriculture Extension Department Dr. Saiful Arifin, Municipal Mayor Rezaul Karim Swapan, Sadar Upazila Chairman Kamruzzaman Sujan, Sadar Upazila Executive Officer (Acting) ABM Ariful Haque along with government officials, dairy farm owners, farmers were present. was
In this exhibition, 40 stalls were arranged and animals and birds including cows, goats, sheep, pigeons were displayed. Certificates and checks were distributed among the successful farmers on the occasion.
