Lalmonirhat Bangladeshi killed in Indian BSF firing

SB-Sujon, Lalmonirhat : A Bangladeshi named Ali Hossain (49) was killed in firing by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) at the Dhabolguri border in Patgram upazila of Lalmonirhat. The incident took place near the 874/5-S pillar of the border early Wednesday night.
Locals said that a group of smugglers tried to cross Indian cattle through the area. At that time, a patrol team of the Satgram camp of the Indian 156th Battalion BSF opened fire on them. In that firing, Ali Hossain (49), son of Abdul Gafur of the Dhabolguri East Paniartary area, was killed. Later, the Indian BSF took Ali Hossain’s body to India.
The 61 Teesta Battalion commander of the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), Lt.  Colonel Syed Fazle Munim confirmed the truth of the incident and said that preparations are underway for a flag meeting with the Indian BSF regarding the death of the Bangladeshi.
