The National Citizens Party NCP’s July march is going to be held in Kurigram as part of the ‘July Awakening to Build the Nation’ program, demanding implementation of the referendum verdict, employment and border security.
On this occasion, a press conference was held at the NCP’s Kurigram district office at the Fire Service Market in the district town on Tuesday afternoon.
It was informed at the press conference that the main goal of the event will be to involve people from all walks of life in the month-long program, convey the aspirations of July to the new generation, remember the contributions of the martyrs and further strengthen the commitment to building the country.
District NCP convener Mukul Mia spoke at the press conference. He also said that the top central leaders of the NCP will come to Kurigram tomorrow (July 22) for the July march at 3 pm. Among them are NCP Central Member Secretary Akhtar Hossain-MP, Kurigram-2 constituency MP and Central Joint Convener Dr. Atiq Mujahid, Northern Region Chief Organizer Sarjis Alam, Chief Coordinator Nasiruddin Patwari, National Women’s Power Convener Monira Sharmin, National Women’s Power Member Secretary Dr. Mahmuda Mitu-MP.
This march of top leaders will start from July Square at College Morse and will meet at Shapla Square in the city for a road meeting.
To make this program a success, overall security arrangements have already been made across Kurigram district, including miking, banner-festoon exhibition and motorcycle procession.
Present at the press conference were District NCP Member Secretary Masum Mia, Senior Joint Convener Mahmudul Hasan Jewel, Joint Convener and Media Cell Head Rasheduzzaman Towhid, Joint Convener Asaduzzaman Sarkar, Senior Joint Member Secretary Dinar Minhaj, District Nari Shakti Convener Nasira Khandaker Nisa, Member Secretary Marina Parvin, Youth Shakti Convener M Masudur Rahman, among others.
