Like the rest of the country, Fire Service and Civil Defense Week/26 was held in Galachipa. On the occasion of the Fire Service and Civil Defense Week/26 celebration, on Wednesday, at the Fire Service and Civil Defense Office in Galachipa, after hoisting the national and fire service flags with the national anthem, a rally procession, a display of various fire service equipment, and a discussion meeting were held in the light of this year’s theme – “Firefighters have one goal, we will keep property and life safe”. The meeting was presided over and welcomed by the Station Officer-in-Charge of Galachipa Fire Service and Civil Defense, Md. Kamal Hossain. The UNO representative, Upazila ICT Officer Md. Yusuful Islam, inaugurated and spoke as the chief guest. SI A. Hakim, the representative of the police station officer-in-charge, Press Club President Md. Khalid Hossain Milton, General Secretary Md. Zillur Rahman Jewel, and others were present as special guests. Leader Md. Zakir Hossain and firefighter Md. Riaz performed the overall duties of the program. CPP members and media workers participated in the discussion meeting.
