Anti-drug discussion meeting with students in Manikganj, awareness booklets and leaflets distributed

An anti-drug discussion meeting was held with the participation of students in Manikganj to create social awareness against drug addiction and drug trafficking. Awareness booklets and leaflets were distributed among the students during this time.

On Wednesday (May 20), the program was organized at the National Polytechnic Institute in Sadar Upazila by the initiative of the Department of Narcotics Control, Manikganj District Office.

Deputy Director of the Department of Narcotics Control, Manikganj District Office, Humayun Kabir Khandaker, was present as the chief guest at the program.

The speakers at the discussion meeting said that drugs not only destroy the life of an individual, but also pose a major threat to the family, society and the state. Especially the young community and students are at the highest risk of the terrible effects of drugs. Therefore, families, educational institutions and society as a whole must work together to prevent drugs.

The meeting discussed the harmful effects of drugs, providing information against drug dealers and various aspects of building social resistance. In addition, students were urged to stay away from drugs and practice education, morality and human values. At the end of the program, anti-drug messages were distributed among the students. The organizers said that such awareness activities will continue in the future to protect the young generation from the terrible clutches of drugs.
