‘Durbar Duronta E-Bike Center’ has started its journey to promote environmentally friendly and modern transportation in Laksam, Comilla. The organization’s activities were officially started with the exchange of Milad, prayers and greetings on the occasion of the inauguration.
Leaders of various journalist organizations, businessmen, political figures and local dignitaries were present at the inauguration ceremony organized at Uttar Paschimgaon intersection in Laksam upazila on Sunday (June 28).
Upazila BNP Organizing Secretary Mosharraf Hossain Mushu, former president of Laksam Press Club Md. Abdul Quddus, Senior Journalist Mashiur Rahman Selim, President of Laksam Journalists Union Zafar Ahmed, General Secretary Abdur Rahim, Organizing Secretary of Laksam Press Club Mizanur Rashid, Journalist Abul Hossain Babul, Noor Alam Manik, Khorshed Alam, G.M.S. Rubel, Zahid, Abdul Jalil, Mahbubur Rahman, Yunus Majumder, Businessman Mizanur Rahman, Humayun Kabir, Contractor Montu and people from different classes and professions were present.
Milad and special prayers were conducted at the inauguration ceremony. Later, the guests cut the ribbon and inaugurated the activities of the organization and visited the various models of electric scooties on display.
According to the organization, various modern models of e-bikes and scooties imported from China, including the Rido brand electric scooty of the renowned Pran-RFL company in Bangladesh, will be sold here. After-sales service and necessary spare parts supply arrangements have also been made for customers.
The owner of the company, Selim Chowdhury Hira, said, “The use of environmentally friendly vehicles is increasing rapidly around the world. Bangladesh is also moving towards that change. Whether you believe it or not, electric bikes are the vehicle of the future. It consumes almost no fuel, has low maintenance costs, does not pollute the environment, and is much safer due to its relatively low speed. Our goal is to deliver high-quality and reliable electric scooters to the people of Laksam.”
The guests present said that such initiatives are timely to increase the use of environmentally friendly technology. They expressed hope that the ‘Durbar Duronta E-Bike Center’ will open new horizons of modern, affordable and safe transportation for the people of Laksam.
