To ensure an eco-friendly and sustainable transport system in Bangladesh and to open a new horizon in the technology sector, Eloop Motors is going to produce electric vehicles (EVs) and lithium batteries in a joint venture. This eco-friendly and modern green industry is being developed through a joint venture with a combination of completely domestic entrepreneurs and a leading Chinese company.
In a statement today (June 30), Eloop Motors Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mohiuddin Ahmed highlighted this important transformation and future prospects of Bangladesh’s transport sector.
Mohiuddin Ahmed said: “The use of electric vehicles is increasing rapidly for environmental protection, energy security and sustainable development worldwide. Bangladesh also needs to move forward in line with this global change. With that goal, Eloop Motors is working to develop modern lithium battery technology and green technology-based industries.”
He further said that their main goal is to reduce carbon emissions, create an environmentally friendly and advanced transportation system and develop a new technology-based industrial sector in Bangladesh. The production of electric vehicles in the country will not only contribute to protecting the environment, but will also create new opportunities for local industry, engineering research and huge employment; which will have a positive impact on the overall economy of the country.
Advanced Battery Technology: Eloop Motors is currently working on long-lasting and high-capacity modern ‘Lithium Iron Phosphate’ (LFP) battery technology and the possibility of large-scale battery production in the future. Its main objective is to ensure world-class electric vehicles for Bangladesh.
Complete EV Ecosystem: The company is not limited to just manufacturing vehicles, but wants to create a complete EV ecosystem in the country. As part of this, special emphasis is being placed on ensuring the necessary charging infrastructure, after-sales service and technical support.
Environment and Climate Protection: By developing a clean energy-based transportation system instead of fossil fuel-based vehicles, it will be possible to significantly reduce air pollution and carbon dioxide (CO_2) emissions.
Regarding future plans, CEO Mohiuddin Ahmed said, “Our long-term dream is to establish Bangladesh as a strong hub or center for electric vehicle and battery production and proudly showcase the ‘Made in Bangladesh’ brand in the international market.”
He expressed hope that the electric vehicle revolution in Bangladesh will accelerate rapidly through government cooperation, private investment and conscious participation of the public. This will play a groundbreaking role in saving energy, preventing waste of foreign exchange and sustainable economic development of the country, along with protecting the environment. Eloop Motors is committed to building a green, modern and technology-based Bangladesh.
