On Friday, June 12, 2026, at 11 am, Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives (LGRD) Minister Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir spoke as the chief guest at the program organized by Bangladesh-China Friendship at Shaheed Mohammad Ali Stadium ground in Thakurgaon city. He said that no nation can develop just like that. The country can reach the peak of development through education, hard work and building skilled human resources. He said that China has become one of the most developed countries in the world through its own efforts in education and work efficiency. Mirza Fakhrul Islam said that Prime Minister Tarique Rahman wants to work with the children of this country. For this, he has taken the initiative to distribute clothes and educational materials to students for free. He said that teachers, guardians and people from all walks of life should be more aware. He said that Bangladesh and China have long-standing friendly relations. China has been cooperating in various sectors for the development of Bangladesh. Moreover, a team of Chinese representatives will come to Thakurgaon to visit various mills, factories and industrial institutions. Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Yao Wen spoke as the guest of honor at the event. He said that the students of Bangladesh are the future of the country. The Chinese government is happy to cooperate in the development of their education. As a result, he said that this will further encourage students to study. He said that this cooperation will continue for students of this country every year. In addition, opportunities will be created for students to visit China. This will strengthen mutual friendship, culture and cooperation between the young generation, he said.
