Day long training held in Kaptai on slaughtering sacrificial animals and preserving their skin

A day-long training workshop was held in Kaptai, Rangamati, to raise awareness about slaughtering sacrificial animals properly and preserving their skin on the occasion of the upcoming holy Eid-ul-Adha. The training was organized by the Kaptai Upazila administration at 11 am on Wednesday at the Upazila Parishad conference room ‘Kinnari’. Imams of various mosques, people involved in preserving skin, public representatives and media personnel participated in the training. Kaptai Upazila Executive Officer Md. Raihanul Islam presided over the program. Former Chairman of Kaptai Upazila Parishad Md. Dildar Hossain, Rangamati District BNP Vice-President Dr. Rahmat Ullah, Kaptai Upazila Livestock Officer Dr. Enamul Haque Hazri, Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Kaptai branch Md. Harunur Rashid, former Vice Chairman of Upazila Parishad Nurunahar Begum, Medical Officer of Kaptai Upazila Health Complex Dr. Omar Faruk Roni and Kaptai Upazila Assistant Information Officer Md. Delwar Hossain. In addition, chairmen of various unions in the upazila and local media workers were present at the program. In his opening speech of the training, Upazila Executive Officer Md. Raihanul Islam said that slaughtering sacrificial animals according to Islamic rules and preserving the skin properly is very important from both religious and economic aspects. Through the training, the participants will play a role in making the general public aware of the correct method. He also said that if the skin is preserved properly, it will have a positive impact on the country’s economy and the wastage of skin will be reduced to a large extent.
