On the occasion of the upcoming 13th National Parliament Election-2026, a meeting was held with Dinajpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry leaders and businessmen with BNP nominated MP candidate for Dinajpur-3 (Sadar) constituency and three-time former mayor of Dinajpur Municipality Syed Jahangir Alam.
On Sunday, January 25 at 11:30 am, the meeting was presided over by the Dinajpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Alhaj Md. Abu Bakar Siddique at the conference room of the Chamber building in Maldahpatti, Maldahpatti. The chief guest was Syed Jahangir Alam, the BNP-nominated parliamentary candidate for Dinajpur-3 constituency with the symbol of the sheaf of rice and a three-time former mayor of Dinajpur Municipality.
In his speech, he said, “If BNP forms a government with the support of the people in the upcoming parliamentary elections and Tareq Zia becomes the Prime Minister of the country, if I am elected as an MP from this constituency, then with the advice and cooperation of all of you, I will work for all the developments of Dinajpur Sadar.” He said, “Dinajpur will be free from extortion. No matter who the terrorists are, no concessions will be given to them. I want to build a people-friendly administration. Please take me forward with the cooperation of the chamber in this regard.” The meeting was attended by senior vice-president of the chamber, Md. Akhtaruzzaman Jewel, vice-president, Md. Shamim Kabir, director Reza Humayun Faruk Chowdhury Shamim, Md. Georges Anam, Md. Morkadhshram Hossain, Alhaj Syed Sagir Ahmed, Manabendra Das Manoj, Md. Rubel Islam, Md. Mostafa Kamal Milon, Md. Rahbar Kabir Piyal, Manjur Murshed Sumon, Md. Shamim Kabir Apu, members of the chamber and businessmen Subal Ghosh, Rajat Basak, Ganesh Chowdhury, Manik Kumar Gupta, among others.
Dinajpur Municipality BNP General Secretary Mohiuddin Mondal Bakul, members of the chamber, the entourage of the MP candidate, and other businessmen were present at the time.
