The freshman reception of Spring-2023 semester students was held at International Standard University (ISU) Mohakhali campus on Wednesday morning. ISU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Under the chairmanship of Abdul Awal Khan, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Engineer A, K, M, Musharraf Hussain, and the Vice-Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Engineer Atiqur Rahman, were present as the chief guest in this event. Engineer A, K, M, Musharraf Hussain said, in order to develop students as good people, just as teachers have to fulfill their proper duties, students also have to ensure good use of time. There is no alternative to education for the development of the country, so he urged the young students to fulfill their responsibility towards the country by getting education. Engineer Md. Atiqur Rahman said, there is no alternative to study well to survive in the current competitive world. He also requested parents and teachers to keep an eye on students to ensure appropriate use of technology. He thanked the new students for admission in ISU. Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Abdul Awal Khan said, ISU is determined to create and maintain a student-friendly environment through modern classrooms, labs, quality teachers, theoretical, practical and co-curricular activities. He pointed out the appropriate initiative of ISU to increase the English language skills of the students. The university is providing part-time and post-graduation job opportunities to the students according to their qualifications. He expressed hope that in the near future, this university will become one of the top universities in Bangladesh. Acting Treasurer H. was present as a special guest. T. M. Kader Newaz. ISU Registrar Md. Lutfar Rahman gave a welcome speech on the occasion. Chairperson of Business Administration Department was also present under the supervision of Syeda Preo Mahmud and Afsana Rahman. Ali Ahad Tagore, Associate Professor Mohammad Ali, Chairperson of the English Department. Abu Naeem, Computer Science and Engineering Department Chairperson Syed Mostafizur Rahman Chowdhury, Textile Engineering Department Chairperson Engineer Abdul Based Mia. Senior and fresher batch students also spoke. Teachers, students and administrative officers of various programs were present in the event. A wonderful cultural program was held by the students.
